Gophers...

Yup, you guessed it...gopher hunting.  Seems when our cousins are out from the coast dad has to take them on the hunt.  Jesse took this set of photos - of course I left out the prizes they all accumulated.

Storm Chasers

So we had enough of hearing the rain and thunder all day at work so when we got home we scooped Britt up off the couch and us girls were out to find a storm...I guess we didn't have to find one, it found us.  We just had to find a place where it wasn't pouring.  Got a little lost but we got some fun photos for the small amount of time we were outside!

we're outta here...raindrops were falling!

i grew up on the farm...obviously

Another weekend of adventure.  Riding, roping and training horses, dirt biking and whatever else you can do in two days generally ends up being interesting.  May as well keep the blog entertaining...

roping my bro was a lot easier than a horse...

dad's bridge standing and the boys that make up the rest of our family

Yes, there was a horse in our house....

Lazy Crazy Days of Summer

Pretty sure this defines the true joy of summer. Another weekend lounging on the lake...us girls learnt how to surf thanks to some great coaching! It has been a busy summer but nothing like a little down time spent in the sun with some great people.
Our next adventure is heading down into the USA on motorbikes for my parents birthdays, so I will be posting those photos when we get home! Hope you are all enjoying your summer as well!

Yvon...later on did a beer add for me while surfing (that photo is being worked on)

they define adorable

What more can I say, I think the photos speak for themselves..  Kristie and Tyler, you two most certainly define adorable, nothing but smiles.  Aunty and Uncle, you two were just pure comedy!

Shoes!

It never crossed my mind that shoes would have to make me think so much.  Put my foot in, if it passed the comfort test and price range, I was good to go.  Well, comfort and prices were definitely not on the checklist that day, it was arranging over 20 feet in a small enough area for me to shoot in. Our models were extremely cooperative, and as weird as the positions and suggestions that Jesse and I were putting them into, they were good sports resulting in a set of fun shots!   Thanks Aunty for getting me to do this shoot...I had a great time....more so after the shoot where I DID get to go shopping...

more to come....

Just a little update from me to all of you...

Thought I would write a little note to everyone who continues to follow my website and blog.

I'm still alive! It has been a great summer so far, 2 weddings complete, a few more to go!! Started off the wedding season in Costa Rica, but now back to shooting the rest of the summer around Edmonton. Jesse, my sister has been shooting with me all summer. Family, fashion, engagement, baby and of course weddings. We landed a nerve wracking yet extremely fun shoot with Gravity Pope (www.gravitypope.com) a few weeks back for a spot in SEE magazine in Edmonton. My aunty won for best shoes and jeans in the city, and well, I landed the spot to show them off - glad she remembered I was a photographer! I will post those photos one day here! As for the rest of my summer, we are busy busy. But don't get me wrong, I wouldn't give up all my spare time to do this if I didn't love it.

For anyone still planning on booking a photoshoot, please do so as soon as possible! Thanks

Stay tuned for more photos...

Have a great summer!

~Amara
